Controversey

If there is one thing that I love to watch in this world, I would have to say that it is controversial television. There are two shows that stick out in my mind when I think of this, South Park and Family Guy. While these are both controversial shows, I would have to say that of the two, South Park is definitely the better of the two. While yes, Family Guy is a very funny show, it just do the same job that South Park does. Family Guy focuses mainly more inappropriate humor that relies heavily on fart jokes and flash backs. South Park on the other hand really likes to poke fun at society and the current events that are going on in the world. I really applaud South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker. I think that one of the best examples that I can think of is the most recent episode that almost got them in a lot of trouble. I am talking of course about the Muhammad episode where they claimed that they were going to show the face of Muhammad on TV, which in Islam, it is a crime to show his face and they even began to receive death threats. I think that these two should be applauded for their work on this show. I think that it is people like this who continue to push the boundaries of what is acceptable and not. I know that a lot of people are against the show, but if people did not like it and support it, how come they have made 14 seasons of this show. As long as there are still current events going on, South Park will always have material to keep their show alive and going. It is my personal opinion that the world could use more shows like this. I just think that this show is so much better than Family guy, not to say that Family Guy is not funny as well.
